Application for Mobile Devices

The MipTec App allows delegates to easily navigate through the entire scientific program from their mobile device. Scan the QR code onsite to download the App or go to your Appstore and search for "MipTec 2014".


An ATM is located outside the Congress Center on the left hand of the main entrance. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.


Access to the scientific sessions will only be possible with your personal badge which you will receive at the registration desk onsite. Please always wear your badge!


A cloakroom is available on the ground floor during the secretariat opening hours and can be used free of charge. Please note that the cloakroom is unguarded.


The MipTec vendor exhibition with companies presenting state-of-the-art technology and solutions is located in Hall 4.1. Onsite passes to the vendor exhibition are available for CHF 60 / EUR 50 at the registration desk. Exhibition opening hours:

The meeting organizer cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustainbed, or for loss or damage or property, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your insurance.

Internet Corner

Several internet terminals are located in the exhibition area and are available to all congress participants during the opening hours of the exhibition. An attandee list (names and provenance) can be viewed at the internet terminals.


The congress language is English. No simultaneous translation is provided.

Lunch and Coffee

A light lunch (various salads and sausages) is served between 12:00 and
13:30 in the exhibition hall 4.1 from Tuesday to Thursday free of charge.
Coffee is available throughout the day in the exhibition hall 4.1 between
09:00 and 17:00.


The scientific poster exhibition is located in the exhibition hall 4.1. The Poster Session and Apéro take place on Wednesday, September 24 from 17:00 - 18:00.


Online registration is free of charge. For onsite registration a fee of CHF 60 / EUR 50 applies.


The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organizers should the holding of the conference be hindered or prevented by political events (such as acts of terrorism, danger of hostility, war etc.) or by unexpected economic events or generally by force majeure, or housld the non-appearance of speakers or other reasons necessitate program changes. With registration, the participants accepts this proviso.

Speakers Service Center (SSC)

The SSC is located close to all lecutre halls. All speakers are kindly asked to hand in their PowerPoint presentation at the SSC at least 1 hour before the start of the session.

Transportation Tickets

All delegates staying in a hotel in Basel, receive a so called "Mobility Ticket" which allows them to use the public transportation system within Basel free of charge. The ticket is also valid from and to the EuroAiport Basel.


The conference takes place at the Congress Center Basel.
